Swish handel

With BetterNow you take Swish payments directly to your existing Swish accounts and set-up. Here is how to set-it up.

How it works

Swish on BetterNow works through Swish online handel. Read more here.

Payments through Swish are paid directly to you based on your existing agreement with Swish. The cost follows whatever you have agreed with your bank.

Reporting

In your Swish reports, it will have the "your reference" or the project ID as "Meddelande" and the Payment ID for Processor as "Orderreferenes". This payment ID can be found in report files for donations.

How to enable Swish

You can integrate either a new or an exsiting Swish number through BetterNow.

If you choose to create. anew Swish number, then you can simply pick "QuickPay" as the "Teknisk leverantör" and afterwards email us the Swish number (email us at support@betternow.org).

If you choose to integrate an existing number, follow the below steps.

1. Request a CSR from BetterNow and inform BetterNow what Swish number you intend to use.

2. Sign in to Swish and generate a certificate on their certificate page.

3. The person logging in needs to be one of the persons who you specified in the Swish agreement. This person also needs to have his or her Mobile BankID, the organisation number, and the swish number (you can find this on your Swish agreement).

4. Follow the instructions on how to generate a client certificate, you can find this in section 2.4. Order a new certificate.

Insert CSR you have received from BetterNow. Note that all characters need to be copied, including the hyphens in the beginning and at the end.

Note: Choose PEM format.

6. Copy the certificate to clipboard

  • Open a texteditor (e.g. notepad in Windows)
  • Copy paste the certificate to the text editor
  • Save file to a "whatever-file-name.pem” filename extension, alternatively just save as .txt and afterwards rename the file extension to .pem

7. Send the file back to BetterNow

BetterNow will inform you when the set-up has been done.
